“WavePillars,” “we,” or “us” refers to the operator of the WavePillars assessment platform.

“Service” means the website, catalog, quiz experience, authentication, checkout integrations, and related features we make available.

“You” means the individual accessing or using the Service.

WavePillars provides self-directed engineering practice assessments. Content is offered for learning and self-checking purposes only. The Service does not constitute professional, certification, legal, or employment advice, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome on exams, interviews, or job performance.

We may update, remove, or change assessments and site features from time to time. We aim to keep the Service available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Optional Google sign-in helps us associate your session with an email address and validate access to paid assessments. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your session.

For paid purchases, access validation is tied to the email address used at Stripe Checkout and the Google account you use on the site, as described in our FAQ. You are responsible for using consistent credentials so unlock checks succeed.

Paid assessments are sold through Stripe Checkout. Payment is processed by Stripe under its own terms and privacy policy. WavePillars does not receive or store your full payment card number.

After a completed payment, we may send you an email containing an access link and/or access key. Keys and links are confidential credentials intended solely for your personal use to unlock the assessment you purchased.

All sales are final. Once your purchase is complete and you have received your access link and key, we do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law.

Subject to these Terms and your compliance with them, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the assessments you are entitled to use (free or paid) for your personal, non-commercial learning.

You agree not to:

• Copy, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from assessment content except as allowed by law
• Share, sell, transfer, or sublicense access keys or paid access to others
• Use automated means to scrape, harvest, or extract bulk content from the Service
• Attempt to circumvent technical access controls or interfere with the Service’s security
• Use the Service in violation of law or in a manner that harms others or our infrastructure

As described in our Privacy Policy, quiz answers and scores run in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers as part of the standard quiz flow. If you contact us or otherwise submit information, you represent that you have the right to share it and that it does not violate anyone else’s rights.

The Service, including assessments, wording, branding, layout, and underlying software, is owned by WavePillars or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are granted to you.

The Service relies on providers such as Google (sign-in and analytics), Stripe (payments), email delivery, and hosting/CDN vendors. Their terms and policies apply when you use their features. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

We do not warrant that assessments are exhaustive, error-free, or aligned with any third-party curriculum or employer expectations.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WavePillars and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of the Service or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising out of or related to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the assessment giving rise to the claim during the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) twenty-five U.S. dollars (USD $25).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the maximum permitted by law.

You agree to defend and indemnify WavePillars against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of applicable law, except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, pose a security risk, or must comply with law. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including license restrictions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will survive termination.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date when we do. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where practical (for example, a notice on the site). Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and WavePillars regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on this subject. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that courts located in the United States will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to mandatory consumer protections in your jurisdiction where applicable.
